Championship Update:
Race 4, the "Ware Joggers 10M" will be a find your own route but must start/finish in the same place so there is no descent advantage. Not perfect I know but think our longer virtual races will have to be run this way due to the logistics of finding longer routes that people won't get lost on.
Race 4 must be run between Monday 23rd and Sunday 29th November.

Congratulations to the 96 Ware Joggers that took part in race 1 of our new season, the Meridian 5K.
This race set an all time 'Club Record' for the number of Ware Joggers to complete a Championship Race
There were also 16 PBs, 1 APB and an amazing 19 new Masters records set.
With 96 runners it seemed a little unfair to keep the 100 points for a win as previous years in place so have increased this to 120, the same increase applies to the Masters and Trebles points.
Our 2020/2021 championship starts on Thursday 6th August with the Meridian 5K. This virtual event will take place at Gunpowder Park between 6th -13th August 2020
Brilliantly hosted by Saffron Striders Running Club on Sunday, the last race of the East Herts and West Essex Cross Country Championship gave Ware Joggers the opportunity to achieve yet another fantastic victory.
Having already stormed through the season with a clean sweep for their men’s team winning every event and with their women’s team gaining first or second place in all previous races, the pressure was on for all Ware Joggers to perform at their best.
As the last few runners crossed the finish line and the results were being collated, Ware Joggers waited with bated breath for confirmation of their suspicions that the men’s and women’s teams were not only victorious in this event but that this cemented the club’s victory for the entire season.
Several club members also won their individual age and gender categories with Michael Waddington and Lottie Roweder taking 1st place in the men’s and women’s Senior group, Lyndsay Russell-Smith securing the FV40 spot and Anne Ramsden victorious in the FV65 age group.
Team captains Beverley Mclees and Mark Cyl both expressed their admiration and appreciation of the efforts of every single runner, reinforcing just how successful the season had been.
